Student Projects
PROJECT: PHOTO SERIES
Assignment: Explore how time, action or story can be communicated by a single image as well as a series of images. Begin by developing an idea that explores how action, story, or time can be expressed in a single image by creating a single frame narrative. The single image will then be expanded into a series of images, a slideshow, or a flipbook.
Creative Reference: Photography by artists such as Cindy Sherman, Carrie Mae Weems, and Gregory Crewdson.

PROJECT: OPEN WORKS
Assignment: Devise a project, which incorporates skills from the previous assignments. Each student creates an installation, which has at least one time-based element (of a minimum of five minutes), which can be video, sound or performance. Each project must also have a transmedia (spanning platforms) or multimedia (spanning disciplines) component.
Subject matter and content are chosen by the individual student and genres can include narrative projects, documentary projects, or a project that simply explore a visual, fashion or design idea. However, all projects must meet the technical requirements outlined above. The goal is to explore the expression of an idea through a combination of disciplines and techniques.
